Brendokenfest 2009

The Barony of Brendoken cordially invites you to attend Brendokenfest 2009, to be held April 25 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds in Dover, Ohio.

Join us for a full day of fun including armoured and rapier combat, equestrian activities, archery, arts and sciences, performing arts, and merchants. This event will also include Brendoken's baronial championship competitions, but the event is a regular event and not just of interest to the Brendoken populace.

After a day of fighting, shopping, and fun of all sorts, enjoy a themed 15th Century English feast prepared by Giles fitz Alan and his team. A lunch tavern will be available on site courtesy of a team from the Marche of Thistle.

Site Information

Site opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m. This is an indoor/outdoor site with lots of room, and it is easily wheelchair accessible. Dress for the weather, as you will need to move between buildings (a short distance, but outdoors) even if you are not participating in fighting or equestrian activities.

We will have plenty of seating for feast and court, but you may wish to bring chairs or benches for your day camp.

There is ample on-site free parking, and there are indoor showers available. This is a dry site.

The Baroness of Brendoken Tea Fund silent auction will be held at Brendokenfest from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

We are looking for anything that you would like to donate to fund the Baroness’s Tea at Pennsic as well as other whims provided by our Baron and Baroness independent of Baronial support.

Payment for winning bid is expected at notification. If a winning bid is not paid for in a timely manner, a runner up will be notified. Any item not sold will be returned to the donor at the end of auction. If the donor is not located or refuses to take it back, it will become the property of the Baron and Baroness of Brendoken to dispose of or keep however they wish.

Due to SCA and modern-world regulations, no alcoholic beverages or representations thereof may be included in this auction.
