Alderford web site updated to Drupal 5.x

It's been a very long evening, but I just released the new Alderford.org web site to production. This was a major software upgrade and has at last allowed us to consolidate all our email lists, email forwarding, and web site onto the new server. (The old software version for the Alderford web site was not compatible with our new server, so we have just accomplished a major technical milestone.)

There are still some small cosmetic touches needed, and a couple of minor issues to fix, but it's working for everything that really matters.

The one item of note is that the "weblinks directory" is not currently working. I know what needs to be done to make this happen -- nothing is broken, but I'm too tired to finish the migration tonight. I went ahead and put the rest of the site online so that the DNS change could propagate while nobody is online. I'll fix the weblinks this weekend.

Note that almost all of the photo albums are now moved off of the official site onto a personal site, because of the SCA's restrictive publication policies. There is a link to these on the new site.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The cosmetics of the new site are not all that "medieval looking" yet. I picked a basic "skin" (theme) for the site to get it online quickly and to be easy to read. We are now running Drupal 5, and I will be upgrading to Drupal 6 later this winter (a much easier process to go from 5 to 6 than it was to go from 4 to 5). So I'll do a better theme customization when we're on Drupal 6.

Enjoy the new site, and let me know if you find any problems other than the ones I've mentioned above.
